chipotle BUY THe dip

To buy the dip, or to eat the dip? That is the question.

At D1A, I had the fortune of working with clients that had an open-mindedness to all-things Web3, including the crypto space. So for National Avocado Day (July 31), we leaned in big time by launching a limited-time stock market simulation game, “Buy the Dip,” that gave away $200,000 in various cryptocurrency to players.

Players could access the game on the web from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT daily between July 25 and July 31 by using their Chipotle Rewards account. My contribution was the game design and ensuring it operated well from a UX perspective. And since it was a browser based game and people weren’t likely to spend a whole lot of time on the site, we kept things super simple: users simply watched a crypto line chart move and must “buy the dip,” for a chance to win crypto or a 1-cent guacamole or queso.

Best of all, it was the first work I’ve done that made it to Times Square. Humble brag (ok, not so humble).
